Common questions:

  • reservations?     ▼

Space is almost always available for groups of two to four people. Larger groups should make advance reservations so we can save space for you. If you come in on a busy day without a reservation, we can put you on a waiting list so you can browse other shops while waiting -- we'll call your cell phone as a table is becoming available.

  • hours?   ▼

SCHOOL YEAR: Monday through Thursday 10am to 6pm. Friday & Saturday 10am to 8pm. Sunday 1pm-6pm.
SUMMER AND HOLIDAYS: Monday through Saturday 10am to 8pm. Sunday 1pm to 6pm.
    CHRISTMAS, THANKSGIVING AND EASTER: closed

  • parties?   ▼

Yes. Birthdays, wedding parties, or any group celebration, schedule your party in advance, and we'll reserve space for you. Price is $15 per guest, plus the shelf price of whatever pottery pieces are selected. Depending on the age of your party guests, consider pre-selecting which pottery pieces your guests may choose from. This allows you to more easily control your price.

  • Pricing?     ▼

Your studio session, which includes all materials and space for the day, is $15 per person plus the shelf price of whichever pottery pieces you select. You pay at the end of your session and leave your work with us. We fire it in our kiln, and it’s ready for you to pick up a week later.

  • May I bring food?     ▼

Yes you may. Be aware that food residue on pottery will likely create problems with the glaze during kiln firing. So, after eating be sure to wash your hands to remove any oils which could have come from the food. And THEN handle your pottery.

  • How long will my session last? ▼

Most people finish their art in thirty to ninety minutes. But there is no requirement. Your session costs $15 per person for the day, plus the shelf price of whatever pottery pieces you select. Stay as long as you need.

What We Believe

People are designed to be creative. Artistic activity is life-giving, brain-building, and just plain good for the soul. Kids have no trouble with art, but many adults lose touch with their creative side somewhere along the way. Dancing Brush exists to throw out an art lifeline; to be the opposite of big-box consumerism, to bring balance in an out-of-balance world. Dancing Brush provides an easy way for people of all ages and types — artistic or not — to create meaningful, useful, personal, functional artwork; and discover the fun that comes from making their own stuff. True, artists are special kinds of people — but we believe every person is also a special kind of artist.
